Kumawood actor Salinko runs unopposed as PPP candidate

The Electoral Commission of Ghana together with the Leadership of Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) in Ashanti Region have acclimated hilarious actor, Abraham Kofi Davies as their parliamentary candidate for the Atwima Kwawomang Constituency.

Some Power Block and supporters of the party last year called on the actor/cum comedian to contest for the MP sloton November 7, 2016 General Election, SeanCitygh.com has learnt.

Our sources revealed that the motive of the party is to gain popularity and poll votes in that area.

Abraham Davies known on screens as Rev. Salinko was over the weekend acclaimed at Aburaso a community in the Atwima Kwawomang Constituency by the regional and constituency executives including Frank Aboagye Dayansah PPP Obuasi West Candidate, and Mr. Vincent Regional Organizer of PPP.

The acclamation ceremony was attended by actor Joseph Osei known as Wayoosi, Comedian Abenkwan, and Mr. James Aboagye the FIPAG General Secretary.

Speaking in an interview with SeanCitygh.com days after the acclamation, Rev. Salinko expressed his profound gratitude to the leadership of the party for given him such an endorsement.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Ghana Actors Guild Ashanti Regional Chapter (GAG) and Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) for their magnificent support. Brief History about Kofi Davies

Popular Kumawood Comic Actor Abraham Kofi Davis commonly known as Rev. Salinko born, 1979 (36years) happen to be one of the multi talented actors in Ghana. The Actor who begun his acting carrier 9 years ago has been starring in countless movies in Ghana.

He has his own production house ABDAVE PRODUCTION producers of Bantama Kwasi Boakye a TV series on GTV and Metro TV. The comic actor through his ‘Salinko Help The Needy’ has been visited organizations to solicit formoney to help the needy.

Abraham Kofi Davis is a native of Kwabre – Kenyase a product of Kings International School at the Kumasi Airport Roundabout and completed Secondary School at Kumasi High.
