Kumasi–based movie producer, Kwame Oppong of Mizpa Film Production has disclosed that, there is scarcity of professional film directors in Kumasi.
According to him, the film industry in Kumasi lacks experienced casting directors, reason for the hardships in the film industry.
Speaking on Ashh fm’s Entertainment Zone in Kumasi, Mizpa clearly stated that the main reason behind discrepancies in some movies is due to the absence of professional directors.
Isaac Rockson, a film director cum critic has been hitting hard on the omissions in the film industry especially those that are produced in Kumasi.
According to him, movies that are produced in Kumasi are mostly trash and must not be taken serious.
But in a quick response, Mizpa told sit-in host Kamil Umar that, most of the film directors in Kumasi have been considered as directors but they are not professionals.
‘’Isaac Rockson is not part of the film industry in Kumasi, we don’t consider him to be a film director, he is just a talkative‘’.
Kwame Oppong told E-Zone show that, the film industry in Kumasi is getting short of good casting directors. ‘’The film directors we have here in Kumasi are not up to standard ’’. He added
