Highlife artiste Kumi Guitar, born Nana Yaw Kumi, can no longer operate as a taxi driver after signing a five-year management contract with Zylofon Media, a new creative arts company.

The ‘Break into Two’ singer who was previously signed to Okraku Mantey’s Slip Music as part of the new deal earned a sign-on fee of $100,000, a 3/4-bedroom house and a Hyundai Sonata 2016 model, which were presented to him some few weeks ago.

Speaking in an interview with Agyemang Prempeh on GH Entertainment on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, Communications Director for Zylofon Media Samuel A. Baah aka Sammy Flex said, the musician can no longer drive in town as a taxi driver because it will violate his obligation as a signed artiste with the company.

He revealed that the musician is keen on establishing a transport company in some few years but will not drive as a taxi driver.

He said, Zylofon Media promises to make Kumi Guitar’s brand bigger than it used to be.

The company is committed to building world-class brands in Ghana, and signing Kumi Guitar is a test case to prove itself, he told Agyemang Prempeh.
