Now, with the release of his first Royal family entertainment solo album, 27-year old George ‘Kwabena Kwabena’ Adu has stepped out to showcase the full range of his skills as a singer and songwriter.
"Preaching something that has a positive influence on others provided it’s not profane is all I do as a singer," he says.
His promotional track which is now the favourite of many Ghanaians and the likes was engineered by the magic fingers of Appietus. “That track really was a real inspiration.
It actually happened to a close friend but just that the wife was not ‘Aso’ but I choose that name because it is a typical African name and it was easy in mentioning in terms of singing”, he added.
With strong cuts like ‘Meieye’, ‘Fameko’, ‘Adea Wayeme’, ‘Ntoboasee’ and ‘Sweet baby Kakyereme’, Kwabena Kwabena displays his vocal maturity and he admits that working on his first solo project was a real learning experience.
"It was a great experience working with engineers like Appietus, Hammer and Martin Isaac Wallace because I have really learnt a lot from them. I knew I was really going to succeed because I have been expecting this for seven years now" Kwabena Kwabena continues.
A young ‘vet’ and a guitarist in the music industry, Kwabena Kwabena has got his first taste with his album ‘Penpe’ which hit the music scene this year. Kwabena Kwabena started developing his own skills as a draftsman and a writer combining it with his music.
The former student of St Peter’s Secondary School and Accra Polythenic has caused a stir among hiplife and contemporary highlife singers.
Kwabena Kwabena has taken his writing and singing abilities to a brand new level with the release of his maiden album which consists of nine tracks with a featuring from Kontihene.
For now, he prays for the growth of the music industry just because he knows that there are more talented people out who can make it to the international level.
“I wish that all Ghanaians will help fight piracy and I also thank all my fans for holding my name high especially to Mr. John Eshun, Mr. Emmanuel Appiah Boateng and Mr. Felix Dakatt.?????? ?
