Female gospel singer, Selina Boateng has opined that there is nothing wrong with gospel musicians collaborating with secular artistes on a song.

Talking to Nana Romeo on Accra FM’s drive time, she disclosed that the mental picture that secular artistes are sinners is erroneous.

According to her, the fact that an individual chooses to be a secular musician does not mean he is of the world and working with such person is against the will of God.

“I don’t see it as a sin to work with a secular artiste. The message the secular artiste is projecting on the song is what needs to be taken into consideration because if the person is a secular artiste, it doesn’t mean that he is a sinner.”

She further used highlife artiste George Kwabena Adu as an example saying “I can see that Kwabena Kwabena is filled with the Holy Spirit. He goes to church, he listens to the word of God and also the songs that he churns out are about love. Lets not forget that God also talks about love so I don’t see anything bad about working with Kwabena Kwabena as a gospel musician”

When Nana Romeo asked her when she will be working with the “Adult Music” hitmaker, Selina Boateng answered “if my producers give me the permission but before they suggest any collaboration for me, they do their checks to know if it's going to help the ministry or not”

“If they decide that I’ve to work on a song with Kwabena Kwabena to win souls or Christ, we will work on it.”

Choosing a secular artiste she would love to work with, she named only Kwabena Kwabena as somebody she loves a lot.

She further gave a freestyle of the KBKB signed artiste’s “Bue Kwan” song but was unable to sing any of his love songs.
