Frema Adunyame, experienced broadcast journalist, and manageress of multiple award-winning contemporary highlife musician, Kwabena Kwabena, has declared her intentions of suing anyone who still called her by the surname, Ashkar.
According to the TV show host, the name Ashkar belonged to her ex-husband to whom she is no longer married.
She added that she could not fathom why some people referred to her with the same name.
Speaking in an interview, the host of 'Good Morning Ghana', which is aired on Metro TV, said that her name was Frema Adunyame but she could not come to terms with the fact that people still called her by a name she no longer used.
She went on to reveal that going forward, she was going to take legal actions against anyone who referred to her as Frema Ashkar instead of Frema Adunyame.
She said people had to learn how to respect people's decisions and not go contrary to their wishes.
Frema’s marriage with Lalus Ashkar, a businessman with whom she has two lovely sons ended abruptly some two years ago. The split necessitated a change of name for the TV show host who could no longer to be called Mrs. Ashkar.
The host of political talk show revealed that she has been single ever since then. According to the journalist, her maiden surname, ‘Adunyame’ was given to her by her father and was she expected people to call her by that since she was still not married.
Frema is regarded as one of the hard working artiste managers the country can boast of.
She has selflessly managed to push Kwabena Kwabena’s brand to the highest level for more than a decade now.
She gained prominence during her stint as a newscaster at TV3. She left the popular Television station after working with them for four years.
