Gospel singer, Kwaku Gyasi has complained that even though the country?s music indusry is growing very fast, piracy is killing the initiative to produce because those who pirate works of artistes end up with huge chunks of the profit from the sales.
This he said would probably destroy the music industry sooner or later if concrete measures are not taken to address the problem.
Kwaku Gyasi said this in an interview with the P&P to highlight on his upcoming tour to Europe in August.
According to the gospel singer he has come a long way since he entered the music industry and hopes to continue with his ministration for a long time.
?I want to dedicate my time to my music and to do what is expected of me as a Christain to my fellow Christains, and to give half of my earnings to orphans?, he declared.
Giving props to his producer, John Mensah Sarpong, Kwaku Gyasi described him as a very prinicpled man who is ready to help him (Kwaku Gyasi) to get to any stage he desires.
John Mensah Sarpong is also the national president of the Ghana Association of Phonographic Industries.
