Kwame Gyan’s ‘Innitfo? No R?ba Ooo’ wins Best Post at Blogging Ghana Awards

Blogger, social media activist and Host of e.TV Ghana’s news and current affairs programme, State of the Nation, Kwame Gyan has won the ‘Best Post of 2015’ at the just ended Ghana Blogging and Social Media Awards organized by Blogging Ghana.

Kwame Gyan’s famous ‘Innitfo? No R?ba Ooo’ post on social media and his blog won him the prestigious ‘Best Post of 2015’ at May 20 event which took place at Chartered Institute of Bankers’ Hall in East Legon, Accra.

The humorous piece enlists the behavior of Ghanaians based outside Ghana when they come home during the Yuletide. It went viral on social media just as a similar one he put together a year earlier.

Kwame Gyan who is also Head of Brands Communication and Marketing of Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company (GMABC) has been described as a very vocal personality on social media, earning him a massive following.

Infoboxx Daily’s Sikaman Facebook Awards compiled by “Sebitically Speaking” author Nana Awere Damoah also recognized Kwame Gyan as the Facebooker of the Year (Male Category) for 2015.

Speaking about his award, Kwame Gyan said “I am truly humbled for the recognition. I also want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one who voted and made this possible.

‘Innitfo? No R?ba Ooo” was written so we could have a laugh about ourselves and to welcome our families and friends who visit us yearly from obimanso and I am happy it caught on with everyone – knowing that we all enjoyed reading it truly excites me”, he said.

The Ghana Blogging Awards is an annual event aimed at recognizing individuals and businesses that have distinguished themselves in the blogging and social media space.

On the night, a total of 18 awards were given out, consisting of 17 blogging and social media categories and content produced in 2015 and one special award for services to Ghana’s blogging and social media community. Each winner received a plaque during the May 20 event.
