Ghana?s celebrated Hiplife musician, Ofori Amponsah has apologized to President Kufuor and the people of Ghana for his inability to turn up at a programme, which the president was told he would be there.

The super star alias ?All for real? in a remorse mood rendered the apology at a news conference in Accra.

?I would like to apologize to His Excellency, the president and all the dignitaries who were at the function as well as the organizers.

I would like to add however that I was not aware that I was not aware that I had to perform on that day,? he said.

A section of the media had carried stories which alleged that Ofori Amponsah being a musician who play ?bad boy pranks? did not turn up to perform for president Kufuor at a programme organised by TESCON.

This was after his manager had collected ?8 million as performance fee.

Ofori Amponsah explained that he was not aware he had to perform on that day.

He said he was unaware that one Mr Frank Agyekum, who was his former manager, had arranged such a programme and gone ahead to collect such amount of money.

An apologetic Ofori Amponsah said people who were formerly in his management perpetuated the deceit with his name.

The musician disclosed that there have been similar instances where ?similar pranks? were pulled on people without his knowledge.

He cited a diner held in hour of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in January this year as one of such instances.
