In an exclusive interview with Kwaw Kese this afternoon he said “The family and funeral committee have agreed that there will be no wake keeping on Friday so we want to use that opportunity to celebrate the short but impactful life on my boss, my friend and business partner Fennec Okyere”.

He explained that the event which is being organized by Mad Time Entertainment and the funeral committee has been set aside strictly for the entertainment industry because according to Kwaw that is truly where Fennec belonged before his tragic death.

He said the stage will be set by 8pm on Friday evening for any artiste who wants to show solidarity by way of musical performances, poetry recitals, dancing, and reading of tributes of any kind and people from the entertainment industry can also share their individual experiences with Fennec on stage.

“We will do our own version of wake keeping and stay awake till Saturday morning for Fennec”, Kwaw Kese emphasized.

Fennec’s burial service will take place on Saturday April 26, 2014 at the forecourt of Accra International Trade fair Centre.

His body will be laid in state briefly from 7am to 9am on the same Saturday morning for friends, well-wishers and love ones to file pass and view to show their last respect before the body will finally be carried for a private burial after the service.
