LIVESTREAMING: Anokye Supremo goes home today

The funeral and burial service of the late Emmanuel Kwame Anokye known in showbiz as Anokye Supremo is being held at the Atomic Energy Park near the Atomic Police Station in Accra.

Anokye has been laid in state for family, friends, colleagues in the industry, fans and sympathizers to take their turns to file past the body and pay their last respects.

Anokye Supremo died after he was sent to India for weeks undergoing surgery to remove a brain tumor which left him partially blind.

The artiste, formerly known as Daddy Lumba Jnr., was in coma for some weeks since the operation at the Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Mukundapur in India.

It took Anokye Supremo a while to raise money through donations for the surgery in India but suddenly died after the surgery.

The funeral poster indicates Anokye Supremo left behind a daughter, Linda Anokyewaa.

He is known for his songs ‘Befa Me’, ‘Efri Nea Efire’ and ‘Hye Wo Ho Den’, ‘Krom Aye De’, among others.
