Labourer grabbed for stealing mobile phone

Tema, Nov 3, GNA- Stephen Adjokasey, a labourer, on Monday appeared before Tema Circuit court "A" for stealing a cellular mobile phone valued at 4.5 million cedis belonging to a businessman. He pleaded not guilty and was granted 15 million cedis bail to re-appear on November 26.

Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Mary Asunta told the court presided over by Mr Charles Asiedu, that on October 19, 2003 Alhaji Amadu Fali, the businessman received a call on his mobile phone while on a vehicle. When he alighted to respond to the call the accused person snatched the phone from him and took to his heels.

Chief Inspector Asunta said Alhaji Fali made his own enquires and traced the accused person and had him arrested.
