World renowned magician and illusionist, Larry Soffer together with award-winning Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Samini and others over the weekend thrilled hundreds of patrons at this year’s Music Magic and Comedy (MMC Live) show in Accra.
It was indeed a night filled with excitement and laughter where patrons experienced the atmosphere of unified entertainment segments- music, magic and comedy all on one stage on one night, with a focus of promoting great talents in the entertainment industry.
The event witnessed a huge audience especially the youth, who had the opportunity to appreciate different entertainment skills. It was also a relaxation moment for all who were present.
The audience went wild with performances by DKB and Jacinta, who entertained the audience with rib-cracking jokes to the amusement of patrons. Their hilarious jokes excited patrons as they couldn’t sit but ask for more.
The Magician, Larry Soffer, with his skills amazed and inspired his audience to ‘Believe to See’ instead of ‘Seeing to Believe.’ In so doing, he encouraged the audience to open their minds to new possibilities by believing in the impossible and, thereby creating their own dreams.
The audience were wowed with his magic moves like mind reading and mind illusions - he read people's minds and made someone read his mind (He did 4 types of this), breaking of a glass and a blindfold knife and balloon act.
For his part, King Promise took the stage and treated patrons with enthralling performance. He performed songs like ‘Oh Yeah’, ‘Selfish’ among others which saw patrons sing along with him.
To climax the show, Samini, also tagged as the King of Live Band took over the stage and treated patrons with back to back hit songs. He performed songs like ‘Linda’, ‘Where My Baby Dey’, ‘Sweet Mistake’, ‘Samini’, and ‘My Own’ among others.
Other performances from Ghana’s favourite Patapaa (One Corner), Waris, a young talented Comedian, Mizter Otchere, a Saxophonist and Jahlead, an upcoming musician, who also had their time on stage to showcase their talents.
Not only did patrons have fun through music, magic and comedy, but also witnessed the launch of the new Huawei Y7 Prime 2018. Lucky patrons won amazing souvenirs like mobile phones, branded water bottles and headsets from Huawei Ghana.
Filled with so much pleasure, Joyce Amoah, a patron, expressed her excitement after the event saying “It was indeed an enjoyable night. My friends and I really had fun and wish this event is organized every month. We look forward to more next year and we won’t miss it for anything”.
