Late Ghanaian model Belinda Akosua Asiamah’s body was yesterday scheduled for postmortem at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital to ascertain the cause of her death.
A source close to her family who disclosed this to NEWS-ONE yesterday also denied earlier reports that the late Belinda will be buried Tuesday, August 16, 2016.
The twenty-four-year-old Exopa model died last Friday after she allegedly complained about stomach ache. The exact ailment that caused her demise, however, remains unknown.
Until her untimely death, she was a rising star. She started gaining prominence in Ghana’s entertainment industry with her works.
She started gaining spotlight from a modelling talent show by the Exopa Modelling Agency dubbed Exopa New Faces, where she became a first runner-up at the runway event.
Later, she was featured in Guru’s ‘Boys Abr3’ video and also Obrafour’s ‘Pimpinaa’ video.
In 2015, she was also featured in Yvonne Nelson’s award-winning movie, ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’, playing one of the unusual scenes in the movie.
Her death adds to the disturbing number of Ghanaian entertainers who have passed this year, following revelations by a man of God that a lot of entertainment personalities will die within 2016.
She is the second Ghanaian model to have died this year.
