The biggest monthly comedy show in Ghana right now, Laughline, only got bigger and better on Saturday night.
Being the day of comedy;, April fool’s day, the night didn’t lack any humor as every comedian billed on the night gave a splendid performance that got patrons laughing hysterically.
The night also witnessed an amazing turnout, which goes a long way to say comedy is being accepted in this country.
The host of the night, Lekzy DeComic gets better after each show, his craftsmanship and wits as the host of the night was utterly delightful. The way he was able to hold the laughter after each performance was amazing. With his classic look on the night, he was a complete MC.
There were open mic performances by Chinafon, Waris, Nagoveh, Mj the Comedian, Spencer, Bra Shuga who helped bring life to the program very early and also proving that comedy has a bright future. There was also a music performance from CJ Biggerman with poetry performances by Nenebi and Deko.
The main acts of the night were Dancehall comedian Emperor Foster Romanus, Comedian OB, Id James Brown and Nino, they each raised the bar of comedy, giving out back to back rib-cracking jokes which made patrons laugh uncontrollably.
Surprise acts of the night were King of Gh Comedy, DKB, Dr Robertson and Awele of Chorkor Trotro fame, they each added insult to the already injured audience.
This month, saw a number of dignitaries passing through, the God Father of Gh comedy, KSM, Counselor Lutterodt, Host of the social media show Vibes in 5, Arnold Mensah Elavanyo and Elaine Attoh of Living with Trisha fame. There were also representatives from Charter House and Contagion Events attending.
