Director, Leila Djansi, has wrapped up the shoot for the first season of the upcoming series, ‘Poisoned Bait’, directed for African online giant, Iroko TV.

“I’m wrapped! I’m going back to Los Angeles! My sanctuary! Yoghurt! Ralphs Chicken! Church! My buddies! Suz, Kayla! Karin, Kafui! Kevin! Jesse! Leon! Tracy! Kimberly! Ryan! Netflix! First stop. Ho, sleep mode activated,” she said on social media after the wrap.

‘Poisoned Bait’ is led by award actress Marie Humbert—who plays Ariel, a literary agent—and her client, Betty, (Marry Remmy Njoku) whose book on marriage creates a juxtaposition between her marriage and Ariel’s marriage to Henry (Adjetey Anang) which is threatened by the presence of her ex, Bernard (Gideon Okeke).

Also starring in the series are celebrated names such as John Dumelo, Ama K Abebrese, Naa Ashorkor Mensah, Grace Omoboe, aka Maame Dokono, Edward Agyekum Kufuor and a host of others.

“…Whoop had an awesome time working with super director, Leila Afua Dansi, on Web series ‘Poisoned Bait’ by Turning Point Pictures. I’m more than glad to have been on this project,” Naa Ashorkor Mensah said about her working experience with Leila.

There hasn’t been negative buzz from the set apart from claims that Leila had a pocket of issues with some of her casts over makeup and costume.

“Some of the casts were more interested in make-ups and costume than other technical aspects of the production.

They are so concerned and obsessed with how they look on the screens,” a source told NEWS-ONE.
