A member of the VVIP, Reggie Rockstone is admonishing Ghanaians especially the youth to maintain the peace and security the country has been enjoying over time inspite of the seeming tension preceding the 2016 general elections.

According to him, it would be a disgrace if Ghana loses its peace over partisan politics and by large elections.

With some months to the 2016 polls, already tension seems high both intra and inter partisanly.

A young New Patriotic Party (NPP) activist in his thirties lost his life in a clash with some armed men for political reasons, that was after a National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency chairman was wounded in the head also for political reasons.

The hiplife grandpapa speaking on Kapital Radio’s mid-morning show, Favorite Love Songs (FLS), told the host Nana Boakye Yiadom (NBY) he was embarking on a campaign together with the other members of the group to sensitize the youth most especially on the need to maintain peace in Ghana.

“I don’t care what party you support, whether NPP, NDC, my party is VVIP and my party all we want you to do is to safeguard the national security of this country.”

According to him, politics is dirty and will always be, but the nation must bear in mind that “if this country messes up, we will all be on CNN and another African country will be watching us like we watch other African countries when they killing themselves” (sic)

He indicated that though everybody has the right to express his/her political ideologies, violence should not be a part of it.

He stated that political war in Ghana in this day and age will be “a disgrace to Kwame Nkrumah”.

Meanwhile the video of the group’s new single, Dogo Yaro which was dropped on November 15 is currently performing massively on Youtube.

As at the time of the interview the video had received 53,531 views already and counting on Youtube.

Reggie attributed the instant hit of the video to the huge following of the group VVIP aw well as Samini who was featured on the song and also the production house (Brainy Beats) that worked on it.

He described Dogo Yaro as a record breaker.
