Over the Weekend, I was invited to a friend’s wedding. She stated on the invitation card that the dress code was White. To satisfy my own curiosity, I decided to do a little research into why people choose white as a colour for significant celebrations.

The answers I found made it very clear why we choose White as the colour of celebration. White is associated with light, goodness, innocence, purity, and virginity.

It is considered to be the color of perfection. White means safety, purity, and cleanliness. As opposed to black, white usually has a positive connotation. White is an achromatic color, a color without hue. …

White is one of the most common colors in nature, the color of sunlight, snow, milk, chalk, limestone and other common minerals. In many cultures white represents or signifies purity, innocence, and light, and is the symbolic opposite of black, or darkness.

When it came to choosing my outfit, I was quite sure with the exact look that I wanted to achieve. Since I had never wore a suit to a wedding, I decided to style this outfit to suit the occasion.

With the help of my accessories, I managed to turn the rather formal outfit into a wedding guest – worthy look. The fascinator played a major role.

It is an accessory that most people like to wear to weddings, engagements and other less formal events. My ear rings and choker gave my look that extra glam that I was hoping to achieve.
