The management team of actor, Kwadwo Nkansah aka LilWin has announced that the premiere of "A Country Called Ghana," which was originally scheduled for June 1, 2024, in Sunyani has been postponed to an indefinite date.

The decision comes in the wake of a tragic accident involving the company's CEO, Kwadwo Nkansah, known as "Lil Win," which resulted in the untimely death of three-year-old Nana Yaw.

In a statement released on May 29, 2024, Wezzy Empire said this was done to honour the memory of the young boy and to stand in solidarity with the grieving family.

“The management of Wezzy Empire regretfully announces the postponement of the premiere of its movie "A Country Called Ghana," initially scheduled to be screened in Sunyani on Saturday, June 1, 2024.

“This difficult decision was made in respect of the memory of the three-year-old boy, Nana Yaw, who unfortunately lost his life in a tragic accident involving our Chief Executive Officer, Kwadwo Nkansah "Lil Win," last Saturday and to join the family in mourning their loss,” the statements added.

Weezy Empire also apologised for their earlier response, acknowledging that their initial communication might have come across as insensitive.

“We also understand that our previous communication may have been perceived as insensitive, and we apologize for any unintended distress caused,” the statement read.

Expressing deep regret over the incident, the CEO and management team have extended their condolences to the family of Nana Yaw and are wishing Mr. Jacob Kofi Amponsah, the father, a swift recovery.

As Lil Win and artist manager Ray Moni are currently receiving care at the Accident Emergency Unit of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, the company's statement also includes a call for prayers for their recovery.

Ticket holders have been assured that their tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled screening, with a new date to be announced shortly.
