Living Faith Ministries International Church

Mount Vernon, NY -- On Sunday, January, 28th, Ghanaweb was invited to worship at one of the biggest and fastest growing multi-ethnic churches in America. It was very interesting to see many members of diverse backgrounds came and worship with their maker. The leader of the church offered words of encouragement and always pray for great opportunities, abundance of wealth, good health for members and their families. Living Faith Ministries International Church has a TV programme, "Jericho Hour " which airs every Saturday; 7-9am and is making news in the USA. The church deserves a spotlight for turning a five member church into a huge international place of worship.

BACKGROUND

In 1992, a man of God with a well established and popular church in Ghana got message from the maker to travel to America to set up another church. Being an obedient and faithful servant, he took the journey and ended up in a town in New York called Mount Vernon in Westchester County and borders the Bronx. Mount Vernon happens to be the birth place of Hollywood Superstar; Denzel Washington, the son of a Pentecostal minister who portrayed in the movie; Malcom X as the eponymous freedom fighter.

The name of the church is; Living Faith Ministries International Church, 195 West First Street, Mount Vernon, NY 10550. Dr. Dominic Newlove Allotey who is presently the Senior Pastor and General Overseer needs no further introduction. He is an international healing evangelist with an apostolic anointing. His profound ministry accompanied with signs and wonders is widely acclaimed.

He was called into the ministry in 1981and is a graduate of various Bible Institutes such as; Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma and All Nations For Christ Bible Institute in Benin City, Nigeria. He also holds numerous ministerial credentials.

He started the church with five members and currently the church is one of the fastest growing churches in New York. A multi-ethnic church with about 1200 members is a fun and loving place to worship as well as showering praises to the almighty for his blessings. The church also has 32 leaders and among them is the well renowned and influential; Dr. Akwasi Achampong.

Dr. Allotey has become acquainted with Mike Murdock Ministries, Dr. Dave Martin, Julie Brown and a host of others.

He travels extensively preaching the gospel and is also the author of numerous books including: "Connected to the Abrahamic Blessings, The Confessions of a Faith Preacher, Morning Glory Devotions, God's Word on Health and Long Life, and also The Mysteries of the Anointing Oil."

Dr. Allotey and his lovely wife Naomi have four wonderful children: Sandra, Veronica, Joshua, and Joelle .
