Ghanaians were left in shock when a music video, which portrayed explicit scenes, by an up and coming artiste, Lord Paper was released last weekend.
While a section of the public have vehemently criticized the erotic music video from an up and coming artiste, others have commended the artiste and Nana Yaa (lady who starred in the video) for a good job done, adding that it was creative.
Entertainment critic and host of vibesin5, Arnold Mensah Elavanyo, has opined that Lord Paper’s ‘Awurama’ video insults sensibility of Ghanaians.
In an exclusive on Ghanaweb’s ‘Showbiz Trendz’, the ‘U ZI Me’ popular host, said maybe Lord Paper tried his best to fool Ghanaians by explaining the video was not porn but portraying his creativity skills.
“Knowing what a video entails and what doesn’t insult the sensibility of Ghanaians or Africans as we are. Glorify it and make it look normal and in the name of creativity make it look unacceptable to me”.
Arnold suggested that “there are a million and one ways he (Lord Paper) could have shot the video and have the song and the video still trending.”
He added that Lord Paper failed ‘woefully’ at keeping the ‘soft porn’ song in the minds of listeners.
