*A MEMORABLE STORY WHICH OCCURED IN PHILLY

*As exclusively told by Charles Nimmo Ntiamoah-Mensah (Mr. CNN)

The world was hit with the senseless, tragic and sudden death of Africa's

beloved Reggae Sensation; Lucky Dube in South Africa-home to the great

Nelson Mandela. Lucky was loved by many fans around the world. Four years

ago, Lucky toured the USA and performed his first show in Philadelphia. The

show which occured at a park was also among the earliest live performances

to be covered by this writer and the only event by Lucky Dube in the City of

the Brotherly Love.

The memorable and interesting moment which occurred was that when the show

started, Lucky appeared on the stage and wowed the crowd with simultaneous

hits. His incredible performance sent the crowd into frenzy and asked for

more. Suddenly the show came to an abrupt stop amid interruption from the

Police and the Fire Service regarding permit issue at the park which

prohibits late performances. This was a shock to the promoters and the fans

of Lucky who are heavily populated in Philly.

Lucky and crew began to leave the stage and entered the tour bus waiting

behind the stage. The fans could not believe it but gathered around the

tour bus and asking for autographs. Lucky being a gracious man came out of

the bus, signed autographs and took photos with some fans. Lucky and crew

left for a later show in NY.

Even though the show was ended abruptly, Lucky's genius and energy charged

performance; backed by his heart wrenching conscious songs, was caught on

camera which has been featured for the viewing pleasure of fans

wordwide. MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE AND OUR HEARTFELT SYMPATHY GOES TO HIS

FAMILY.

*Tribute from DJ 4eign / DJ Kojak - Renegade Soundstation

*

*On Friday, October 19th 2007, a hero was taken away from us. He was a

musician who used his lyrics to preach and bring awareness about the

struggles in Africa to the world. He touched on the corruption, poverty and

on going racisim, among other things that plague the continent still to this

day. His music touched and changed millions of lives even far beyond the

geographical boundaries of his native country, South Africa. He was an

inspiration to many and with his music brought hope to the hopeless. His

sudden passing has shocked the world and has shown just how much of a

superstar he truly was and It is unfortunate that it took this senseless act

of violence to show this. We as fans, even though it may be hard, must

accept the fact that the Lord has called for his angel, Lucky Dube, to come

home.

We, Renegade Soundstation, would like to pass along our prayers and

condolences to his family and friends. As african dj's we vow to always

carry his message and spread it to the masses! In honor of Lucky Dube we

have put together a tribute mixtape composed of his hits and favorite

recordings which we are giving away free of charge. You can get your free

download at: www.renegadesoundstation.com or send an email request to:
