Holiday makers in Ghana this yuletide would be in for a great time if they choose to be in the country’s second largest city, Kumasi.
The Garden City has lined up some of the finest entertainers in the country for back-to-back gigs in addition to pool parties, picnics and other social events for this Christmas and New Year festive season.
Luv 99.5Fm, the ‘Official Christmas Station’ in Oseikrom, is leading in the pack of fun-filled activities and value-added events to make the season worth celebrating.
As part of its corporate social responsibility programmes, the station is embarking on a road safety campaign to instill sanity on the roads for an accident free season.
The awareness campaign is in partnership with the National Road Safety Commission (NRSC) and the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), with the support of Toyota Ghana Limited, GT Bank, Shell Ghana Limited, Regency Alliance Insurance Company, Voltic Ghana and Latex Foam.
Luv Fm is also collaborating with the Komfo Anokye Blood Bank in a blood donation drive to save lives. The initiative is to ensure enough stock at the blood bank for people who will be in need of blood transfusion during the period and beyond.
The biggest jamz for the season in Oseikrom is the “24th Nite with the Stars” on Christmas Eve.
Residents and holidaymakers in Kumasi will experience the joy of the season as Luv Fm and Homeproud assemble three of Ghana’s finest crooners at the Royal Lamerta Hotel for patrons to dance away on December 24.
Afro-pop songstress, Becca; silky-voiced contemporary highlife giant, Kwabena Kwabena; and the Azonto-induced rapper, Sarkodie are getting their arts up in readiness for what is anticipated to be one of the most exciting musical shows this Christmas.
The little boys and girls will also have reason to celebrate the season with two days of excitement and fun-filled activities at the Xmas Kids Party at Hotel Georgia on December 27 and 28, powered by Luv Fm.
They will play and learn with Barney & Friends, Mickey and Minnie and Hanna Montana as they enjoy their ice cream, cotton candy, popcorn and more.
The station will also power the number one Adult Nite Club, The Drive at the Golden Tulip – Kumasi City will also be grooving with the finest DJs in Oseikrom, offering nights full of entertainment, surprises, free drinks and giveaways.
The yuletide will be climaxed with the 3rd edition of Luv Fm Family Party in the Park on January 2, 2012.
