At the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) final rally, their MPs were introduced one by one on stage.
As they strutted from backstage to the front, where the crowd was packed, they showcased their dance skills before the cheering audience.
Popular MPs such as Ursula Owusu, Henry Quartey, Bernard Okoe-Boye, and Lydia Seyram Alhassan took turns displaying their moves, much to the excitement of the crowd.
However, following the NPP’s significant defeat in the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections, where many of their MPs lost their seats, some netizens have flooded social media with celebratory posts.
Lydia Alhassan, who lost her seat to NDC’s John Dumelo, saw her famous dance from the NPP’s final rally go viral amid her defeat.
In the trending video, she was seen vigorously dancing, bending down with style, and performing what is believed to be the popular Ghanaian 'Gbohe' dance.
Clad in a T-shirt, white skirt, and sneakers, she “boogied down” on stage, with the crowd cheering her on.
Interestingly, the video did not gain significant attention at the time of the rally, but it has since gone viral following the NPP’s loss in the 2024 general elections.
