Rapper M.anifest has been announced as music director for the adaptation of international Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s “On Monday of Last Week”.
The movie, of a Nigerian woman named Kamara who babysits the spoiled middle-school-aged boy of a wealthy American couple: an endlessly busy artist mother and a father whose over-protection of their son Kamara finds ridiculous, will be directed by Ghanaian-American avant-garde filmmaker and producer Akosua Adoma Owusu.
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is among foremost contemporary writers from the continent. The 2013 adaptation of her historical novel Half of a Yellow Sun featured Hollywood star Chiwetel Ejiofor , as well as Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji to rave reviews.
M.anifest took to social media to share his excitement with this new engagement.
