MTN donates towards Ada Asafotufiam Festival

Big Ada, Aug. 1, GNA - Management of MTN Mobile Company, has donated GH¢5,000 cash, call cards worth GH¢500, drinks, hampers, and souvenirs to the chiefs and people of the Ada Traditional Area towards this year's Asafotufiam festival.

Making the presentation at Big Ada, Mr Samuel Turkson, South-Eastern Area Sales Manager for Business of MTN said, the company over the years had support the festival and that the gesture was to strengthen the long-standing cordial relations between MTN and the people of Ada Traditional Area.

Mr Turkson said the importance of the Ada Asafotufiam could not be over-emphasized and for that reason there was the need to honour the great ancestors of the chiefs and people of Ada, whose victories in wars in the past, had given cause for the celebration.

He pledged MTN's desire to continue to be associated with the festival and hoped that would go a long way to deepen the relationship between the company and the people of Ada.

Mr Turkson assured the people that MTN was prepared to support them in their bid to initiate projects that would improve their standards of living.

Asafoatsengua Debrah of the Kabiawer Kpone Clan Division received the items on behalf of Dzetse Nene Abram Kabu Akuaku III, Paramount Chief of the Ada Traditional Area, and thanked MTN for the gesture.

He assured the company that the items would be put to good use.
