MTN, the leading mobile telecommunication network will from October 27 to November 12 activated yet another regional festival in the Northern part of the country, as part of its series of own initiated festivals.
Dubbed the “Savannah Cities Festival”, the celebrations will be held in Tamale, Bolga and Wa.
MTN for the past five months have been getting closer to its customers regionally through the successful activation of its own initiated festivals.
In line with this, several activities have been scheduled to take place in the three cities, including commissioning of a three unit classroom block, sod cutting for Neo Natal Centre, and the big concert featuring Samini and friends at the Tamale Sports Stadium on 27th Oct.
The aim of the festivals according to MTN is to get closer to its customers regionally through the celebrations, “as a business organization that understands its customers and want to reach out to them. Our approach is to reach them regionally and to contribute to their development through our corporate social responsibility.”
MTN has also successfully replicated life enriching regional festivals celebrated in the Ashanti Region (Ashantifest), Brong Ahafo (Suncity Fest), Eastern Region (Koftown fest”) and more recently the Western Region (Oil City Fest).
In the Ashanti Region activities included a Golf tournament, Health and Fitness Festival, Amakye Dede Live in Concert as well as a series of human capacity building programs in the Ashanti business district.
The Eastern Region, (Koftown Fest) which was celebrated from September 24 to 29 saw the coming together of various music stars like khaki, Guru and Okyeame Kwame which made the program a success alongside other life enriching initiatives by the brand.
In the Western Region an MTN initiated Oil City Fest which is currently underway from 6th October through to 27th October saw a host of events including merchandizing blitzes in Takoradi and its environs, Night of Laugh and Music, launch of Western Regional e-library Rehabilitation Project, Retailers forum and movies for MTN subscribers as well as an invitational Golf Tournament.
The Western Regional Library will serve the entire region especially its immediate environs including Takoradi, Axim, Tarkwa, Sefwi Wiawso and Bibiani.
