Dubbed ?Talent Hunt (Ghana Idol)? it will take off on Friday May 21, at Hotel Eredec, Koforidua in the Eastern Region. The following day the hunt will continue at the Cape Coast Castle and then at Takoradi on Sunday May 23.

Musicians in the Volta Region will be involved in the hunt at the Woezor Hotel on Wednesday May 26 and in the Ashanti Region at the Kumasi Cultural Centre on Friday May 28. The hunt moves to Sunyani on Saturday May 29, then to Picorna Hotel, Tamale the next day and then Bolgatanga on Monday May 31.

Wa will be hunting for talents on Tuesday June 1 and Greater Accra on Saturday June 5.

At each talent hunt event, three musicians who excel in terms of creativity and presentation among others will be selected to assemble in Accra where twenty of them will qualify for a semi-final competition to select ten talents for the grand final.

The 10 finalists will meet at the National Theatre and the first three winners to be selected will be produced and supported by MUSIGA to come out with their albums.

According to Alhaji Sidiku Buari, the competition has no age limit and all musical talents who sing hiplife, hiphop, gospel, reggae, folk instrumental music, etc are invited to participate.

He explained that the music industry is at a critical stage in its history and all must put their hands to the wheel to move it forward.
