MUSIGA apologises to Tuobodum Traditional Council

Tuobodum (B/A), Aug 25, GNA - The Chief and elders of the Tuobodum Traditional Council have agreed to forgive and forget the harm the song "Yefri Tuobodum" by the Nkasei Musical Group may have caused them. This followed a meeting between an 18-member delegation of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), led by its President, Alhaji Sidiku Buari and the Chief and his elders at Tuobodum.

Tuobodum (B/A), Aug 25, GNA - The Chief and elders of the Tuobodum Traditional Council have agreed to forgive and forget the harm the song "Yefri Tuobodum" by the Nkasei Musical Group may have caused them. This followed a meeting between an 18-member delegation of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), led by its President, Alhaji Sidiku Buari and the Chief and his elders at Tuobodum. The MUSIGA delegation, which included Prince Osei Kofi, Welfare Officer, Professor Kofi Abraham, Ashanti Regional Chairman and Kofi Agyeman, Brong Ahafo Chairman of the Union, pleaded on behalf of the group for the furore the song might have created. The Traditional Council led by Nana Obeng Ameyaw Barima and Nana Nyarkoa Aboronoma, Queenmother accepted the apology in good faith and revoked the curse and sentence placed on the musicians. The delegation had earlier paid a courtesy call on the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Nana Kwadwo Seinti, in Sunyani.
