The Ghanafest-Paris Olympics 2024 Concert was successfully organized by the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) in association with Showbiz Global Concert. It formed phase one of the planned twin concerts for the Paris Olympics and Paralympics 2024, respectively.

This first event, held in Paris, France, showcased Ghanaian music, culture, and tourism on the global stage during the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The concert had earlier attracted significant support and sponsorship from corporate Ghana, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity, especially highlighting the expected participation of artists and groups with disabilities.

The Ghanafest-Paris Olympics 2024 Concert was a collaborative effort between the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) and Showbiz Global Concert. The Paris event aimed to celebrate Ghanaian music, culture, and tourism while providing a platform for artists.

Activities:

• Music Concerts: Featured live performances by renowned Ghanaian musicians, including Bessa Simons, Sista Afia, Kofi Kinaata, and other European-based support artists.

• Cultural Performances: Traditional dances and theatrical performances showcasing Ghanaian folklore groups, such as Kaasa Cultural Troupe and Wawa Tuda African Traditional Cultural Group.

The Ghanafest-Paris Olympics 2024 Concert was a resounding success, attracting international attention and fostering cultural exchange between Ghana and France.

The event featured performances by talented Ghanaian artists and traditional groups, showcasing the rich diversity and vibrancy of Ghanaian music and culture.

The event enabled Ghana-based artists to reach a global audience and experience the international music stage. It also allowed Ghanaian artists based abroad to connect with their homeland and promote Ghana’s culture, cuisine, and music globally.

Central to the success of the Olympics and Paralympics 2024 events is MUSIGA's commitment to inclusivity and diversity, ensuring that artists and groups involving members living with disabilities were given the opportunity to participate and showcase their talents. This inclusivity policy not only enriches the cultural exchange but also underscores the importance of creating equal opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their abilities.

For purposes of convenience and time management, the Olympics Concert was spearheaded by able-bodied artists, while artists living with disabilities have been appropriately scheduled to spearhead the Ghanafest-Paris Paralympics 2024 Concert and related activities.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the French Embassy in Accra for the opportunity granted for members' participation in the Olympics segment of the Ghanafest-Paris 2024 Concert. The mission’s support and cooperation have been invaluable in ensuring the success of the event and promoting cultural diplomacy between Ghana and the international community. We look forward to further collaboration and partnership in fostering mutual understanding and friendship through music, culture, and arts.

As program organizers, MUSIGA and Showbiz Global Concert express our excitement about the successful turnout of the Ghanafest-Paris Olympics 2024 Concert, emphasizing its alignment with the ‘Destination Ghana Agenda.’ The program aims to drive strategic investment opportunities through tourism, music, culture, and sports, contributing to Ghana’s economic growth and cultural exchange.

The Ghanafest-Paris Paralympics 2024 Concert represents a continuation of our commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and cultural exchange on an international platform.

The program organizers are set to implement the upcoming Paris Paralympics 2024 Concert, which is phase two of the scheduled Ghanafest-Paris 2024 program aimed for September 7, 2024.

Post-Paris Olympics 2024 networking follow-ups and liaisons give an impressive indicator of the positive outcomes of the Olympics Concert.

It is the expectation of the program organizers that the continued partnership in promoting cultural exchange and diplomacy between Ghana and the international community will boost efforts to showcase the best of Ghana's culture and music on the global stage.
