About a month ago, it was reported that Batman, also known as ‘Abodie,’ a popular bodybuilder allegedly involved in the lynching of Wyllbee, has died.

The funeral banner of the young man, a resident of Tanoso where Wyllbee was killed, was spotted online prompting reactions on social media.

Batman was identified as one of the key individuals most responsible for the lynching.

According to sources, he fled Tanoso to Anyinam shortly after Wyllbee’s lynching went viral, following the police's arrests of the suspects.

It was further revealed that Batman had been battling diabetes for nearly three years, and his escape to Anyinam prevented him from accessing proper medical care, leading to his demise.

Interestingly, on September 21, 2024, the same day Wyllbee was buried, Batman was also laid to rest.

A video from his funeral has since been circulating online, and a close friend also confirmed the development.

Wyllbee’s relative also mentioned this in a viral interview.

Curses rained down at Wyllbee's funeral

At Wyllbee’s funeral, there was a notable outpouring of curses as grieving family members expressed their anguish and desire for vengeance against those responsible for his tragic death.

Friends and family vented their rage and sorrow, unleashing curses in response to the brutal manner their beloved, Wyllbee was ‘innocently’ lynched.

Background:

Reports indicated that Wyllbee was killed in Abuakwa-Tanoso, Ashanti Region while staying overnight at Nana Yaa Nyarko’s residence, a property reportedly owned by her 'abroad-based' husband’s family, who were unaware of Wyllbee’s presence.

According to initial accounts, on July 5, 2024, Wyllbee was seen urinating in the compound and was confronted by residents who suspected him of being a thief.

Wyllbee allegedly claimed he visited Nana Yaa, but she purportedly denied knowing him, to protect her marriage from her in-laws.

This denial led to suspicion and accusations of theft among the neighbours, resulting in Wyllbee being lynched.

Reports also mentioned that Wyllbee's phone was destroyed with a stone during the incident.
