He is simply called 'Fish' by associates but known to fans worldwide as 'Mad Fish.' His unassuming nature keeps him low but his unmatched style in the raga world stands him out wherever he picks up the mic. Christened Raymond Frimpong by his parents, Mr. J.Y. Frimpong and Ms. Janet Amoako, the music ace has spiced the listening pleasures of the majority of Ghanaians. No doubt, being a native of Agogo, Asante Akyem, a well known town with favorite sons like the legendary Amakye Dede and 2005 Best Artist of the Year; Mr. 'All For Real/Otoolege', Ofori Amponsah, Mad Fish is perhaps living the common dream of a place like that.

His megahit street anthem "Yahooya" (from the album Max Wo Ne Me Babe), engineered by Jay Q, is even having hard time fading out from the memories of fans; Mad Fish has just rolled onto sale again another groundbreaking perfect reggae piece dubbed " Abodam".

Fish started his music career as a mime underground artist with colleagues; going from one joint to the other until he was introduced to the Jamaican Patoa by Ras Rony and Ras Naptali, his Jamaican friends. He started doing road shows in 1992, until 2004 when he came with a blockbuster hit and a platinum; "Max Wo Ne Me Babe. It was a great album which sold thousands of copies.

Abodam dutifully follows the success of his previous masterpiece, and is really bombastic and fantastic. The creativity of this young talented artiste is manifested in the release of the new album. Mad Fish explained about the concept of "Abodam", he said; one is aware that on this part of the world, we refer to things that are complex or unique as "crazy". For example: If men see pretty ladies, cars and other great things, what they normally say is: 'this is crazy (Abodam).' In real terms no craziness or madness but thought about attributing a word to give it a vivid accurate description of a situational report. It shows a pedigree of the ace musician. DJ Amess with pedigree and track record of having successfully helped artistes like, King David, Batman, VIP, Castro and a lot of others, was attracted by the abundant talent and creativity in the young man to realize his fullest potentials. Already with Amess on board, Mad Fish has started seeing signs of success coming his way.

Mad Fish is a great rapper and dancer when he is on stage, he is no less than romantic credited with bombastic delivery. He is a revelation as far as Ragamusic in Ghana is concerned.

For those who are eager to get copies of the latest album, it is coming very soon.

Mad Fish would like say big "shout outs" to all his fans for their support over the years, the media for "holding it down". Much love and respect to Max.
