American pop star, Madonna, is set to release a song written by Ghanaian R&B singer, Qweci, formerly known as Ded Buddy, who recently resurfaced after years of hibernation from the music industry.
According to him, he co-wrote and arranged the song while in the United States, noting that a friend of his who produced Maddonna’s last album was the one who created the beat for the song.
“Back in the States, I co-wrote a song for American songstress Madonna which is not yet released… I wrote the song so it’s one of the songs which is actually being pushed to her right now to be released,” he told 3News
He added: “I co-produced, co-arranged and stuff for Madonna’s album”.
With over a decade of experience, Ded Buddy entered the industry in the 1990s with the track Y3b3 Sa, which became an instant hit in Ghana. He later went dormant for some time until 2010 when he bounced back but has still not been able take live up to expectation.
