Former president and presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, left members of his political party and persons who attended a town hall meeting organised by the NDC cracking their ribs with laughter as he reshared two popular jokes from popular stand-up comedian Derrick Kobina Bonney (DKB).
John Dramani Mahama recounted a joke about how DKB, a motivational speaker who was teaching the youth to be very focused in life and to work hard to achieve their goals in life, was distracted by a heavily endowed woman while he was speaking on stage.
The NDC’s flagbearer also imitated a joke from DKB that spoke about how various ethnic groups fought during confrontations.
Attendees of the town hall meeting were delighted to see the former president share his jokes.
The town hall meeting gives a lot of creative art industry players the opportunity to voice out some challenges they face in their sector.
A prominent issue that was mentioned by most industry members was the high cost of data and low-speed internet.
“I am also a content creator, and I agree with what my colleague just said. The issue of internet connectivity for we content creators is of major concern, and it is not only about the cost of internet now but also the speed of it,” comedy skit-maker SDK said while questioning John Dramani Mahama at a Town Hall meeting organized by the National Democratic Congress."
