NDC anthem composer Jewel Ackah has revealed that President John Dramani Mahama and his administration is now taking very good care of him.
“It is now that the NDC party is taking care of me, ‘John (Mahama) Adaworoma.’ From the beginning, things weren’t going well but it is now that the NDC party is taking care of me because of the songs I did back then.
When I was asked how much I would charge for the song I did for the NDC back then, I said, oh forget it so they didn’t give me anything for the song. But when someone says forget it, it entails a lot, I wasn’t given any money then,” Jewel Ackah revealed.
Jewel Ackah has also clarified that he did not advice the new crop of Artistes not to compose songs for political parties in Ghana, but rather be cautious in taking that dicey step.
“They should think about it before doing it, the money aspect is important, so if you do the song and you are not given the money, things won’t go well” Jewel Ackah clarified.
Jewel Ackah also said he is a member of the NDC, “I have always been a member of the NDC,” Jewel Ackah maintained.
Jewel Ackah said this in an interview on Spice FM in Takoradi.
