The leading cast of the award-winning movie, “Shattered Lives” have joined forces against domestic violence in Ghana.

In 2014 alone, at least 17,655 cases of domestic violence were reported to Domestic Violence & Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU).

This desolating report and many other cases led to the campaign against domestic violence by the leading cast of “Shattered Lives”.

The cast; Shatta Wale, Majid Michel, Bisa Kdei, Martha Ankomah and BismarkTheJoke have started a campaign against the act with a short video asking Ghanaians to be vigilant and encouraging people to immediately report such cases to DOVVSU.

“Domestic violence is a bane in every society and it’s shattering the lives of women, children and men all over Ghana,” Bisa Kdei stated in the video.

“As actors and artistes whose movies, movies and messages help shape our culture…” Shatta Wale said and BismarkTheJoke continued:

“…we can help change our culture for the better by ending domestic violence.” Martha Ankomah also had her say: “We ask our colleagues and fans to help us create a culture where domestic violence is not tolerated.”

“Join our campaign to stop this violence,” actor Dominic Dzomordzi added. Following the campaign, the producers of the movie, Ghanaairtime.com and Ghanaprovisions.com, have announced the release of the DVD copies of "Shattered Lives".

According to them, the DVD copies will be available at Ghana Provision Ventures located at Kokomlemle in Accra from Monday, August 7, 2017.
