The issue of Ghanaian television series dying gradually from the system has been an issue many pundits and movie lovers have been at for sometime now.

Gone are the days when most Ghanaians, old and young rushed and exchanged their precious duties and time for some popular TV series talking of 'Taxi Driver, Akan Drama, Osofo Dadzie, just to mention a few.

Now Ghanaians have lost interest in our local TV series making foreign series like Kumkum Bhagya, Veera, Simply Maria, What Life Took From Me, Unforgivable, among others dominate our screens to the extent of translating them into our local Twi Language.

Thankfully, to the rescue of the dying local television series, is the now much talked about local television series, 'Mama Taxi' on Viasat 1 TV which features one of the most versatile movie actresses, Nana Ama Mcbrown and others, according to seancitygh.com's findings.

When Seancitygh spoke to the man brain behind 'Mama Taxi', Mr Martin Aboagye, he he is aware of how Ghanaians have accepted the program and further added that he and his team did a thorough research before coming out with such an entertaining and educative series to the screens.

Again, he knows that Ghanaians have been looking for something like this for a long time and equally added that his colleagues in the industry are doing a great job, just that Ghanaians are looking for something new, meaning they have to go beyond putting out normal stories.
