The official figures are not handy yet, but the 2010 edition of Joy FM’s annual Old Skuuls Reunion held Saturday is set to tip the scales after attracting crowds that could easily overrun the Accra Sports Stadium.
The fun-filled, day-long social gathering under the title sponsorship of mobile telephony giant and market leader, MTN, saw both young and old reminisce school days as a dozen or so artistes took the stage to adlib their music and charge the crowd.
And as one school after the other responded to the roll-call at the Trade Fair Centre, La, Accra, it was all clear they were also prepared for serious competition in the various sporting events – five-aside soccer, tug-of-love, gari-soakings and gari-shito eating competions, jama and 50-meter dash.
