Man Steals Father-In-Law?s Sheep

Elmina (C/R) - Kobina Egyir, a 54-year-old driver, Resident at Simiw near Elmina who allegedly stole a sheep belonging to his father-in-law, was on Tuesday sentenced to nine months? imprisonment in hard labour by a community tribunal at Elmina. Egyir pleaded guilty.

The prosecution said last Sunday Egyir was seen walking from Simiw towards Ankaful with something bulging from under his cover cloth, drawing suspicion from passers-by.

When he was confronted a live sheep was seen hidden under his cloth.

He was arrested, handed over to the assemblyman for the area who in turn handed him over to the police.
