Man defiles sisters at Adum Banso

Sekondi, April 19, GNA - Tei Mawunya, a 24-year old Labourer, on Monday appeared before a Sekondi District Magistrates' Court for allegedly defiling two sisters aged 7 and 8 years at Adum Banso, near Takoradi.

The accused pleaded not guilty to defilement and is to re-appear on April 26.


Prosecuting, Police Sergeant Andam Okyere said on April 17, Mawunya lured the sisters to an empty house on the Benso Oil Palm Plantation Estate at Adum Banso and defiled them in turns.


He said after the incident, Mawunya warned the girls not to tell anybody what had happened or he would beat them.

Sergeant Okyere said later, the mother of the girls detected that they were walking with some difficulty and when she questioned them they narrated their ordeal to her.


He said medical report on the girls confirmed that they had been defiled.
