Man dies during fortification rites

Ho, Oct 18, GNA - The Ho Police have arrested two herbalists at Tsito Avalagoe for allegedly murdering a farmer who went to them for fortification against cuts by cutlass.

The two, Christian Adzoku and Moses Tsetse, are in Police custody. Briefing the press at the Regional Police Headquarters Superintendent Joseph Kutu, the Ho Municipal Police Commander, said the deceased, Bright Addo, 19, went to the suspects on October 16 to be fortified.


He said after the fortification rites, Adzoku went in for a big cutlass to test the potency of the medicine.

Adzoku inflicted several wounds on Addo including a deep one on the victim's right upper arm that caused him to bleed profusely. He said the suspects took Addo to the Ho Municipal Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
