Ghanaian gospel musician Broda Sammy has called on churches to provide more support to their struggling members.
According to him, “Some female church members are now engaged in hookups, there is no money.”
Speaking on United Showbiz on October 26, 2024, Broda Sammy pointed out that despite claims of having to cater for expenses, many churches have the financial capacity to assist their members.
He also noted that some church members consistently contribute their small offerings but receive no assistance in return.
“Some churches have been in existence for more than 50 years, they do not have much expenses because they own most of their property. They are not renting. Those can afford to help their members.
"Some of their members have been selling tomatoes at the markets for years and have been consistently giving their little 1 cedis as offering but they are not getting any help,” he said.
Broda Sammy called on churches to change their strategy for winning souls, warning that, “one day, there will be nobody to attend.”
