Nsawkaw (B/A), Jan. 28, GNA- Members of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the newly created Tain District in Brong Ahafo have inspected structures acquired by the Nsawkaw Traditional Council for use by the District Assembly.

The buildings include residences for the District Chief Executive, District Coordinating Director and heads of decentralized departments. The IMC team also inspected a new building to be used as offices of the DCE and the administrative staff whilst offices for the decentralized departments are near completion.

The Traditional Council has also offered 450 acres of land free to the Assembly to be developed for permanent offices and residential accommodation.

Mr Kofi Num Dwommoh, chairman of the IMC, who led the team expressed satisfaction with the development and thanked the Council for the efforts and the offer.

He urged the council to continue to provide other facilities to ensure the smooth take off of the Assembly.

The chairman said the committee had drawn a tentative programme to raise funds in all the traditional areas between January and March to supplement government efforts in the provision of infrastructure in the new district.
