Well-known Ghanaian actor, Timothy Bentum is blaming desperate young ladies for ‘sex for roles’ in the Ghanaian movie industry.
According to the actor, many ‘wannabe’ female actresses chase movie directors and they are always ready to offer sex in exchange of movie roles, just to be in the lime light.
Timothy Bentum says the only Ghanaian actress she can vouch for, who has never fallen victim to ‘sex for movie roles’ is Martha Ankomah. “I blame the women more than the movie directors. I can give you a clear example; Martha Ankomah, she never slept with any director in this industry, yes I can bet my neck on that,” the actor said.
The popular actor insisted that Martha Ankomah demonstrated to the world what she can do, therefore she did not go about offering sex just to be in the limelight.
“Believe in God and what you can do as a person, keep at it and show the world what you can do. Stay in your corner and at the right time, they will need you and pick you up”, Timothy advised young aspiring actresses. The actor, speaking on Angel TV also cautioned that, “If you sleep with all the crew members and you still haven’t mastered your craft, then you will rise to that level but in no time you will die out.
Most of these ladies are too desperate for fame”. Timothy who is respected in the Ghanaian movie industry, is now a born-again Christian and has founded the Timothy Bentum Ministries.
