Mason remanded for snatching bag

Agona Swedru (C/R), April 14, GNA- An Agona Swedru Circuit Court presided over by Mr Robert K.K. Asaase, has remanded in prison custody, a mason for snatching a bag containing 465,000 cedis a mobile phone and documents.

Aboagye Yartey, whose plea was not taken, will reappear on April 27.

Prosecuting, Police Inspector Comfort Darko said the complainant is a Liberian refugee who went to Accra and returned at about 1900 hours.

The Prosecution said when she alighted from the bus the accused trailed her and snatched the bag containing 465,000 cedis a mobile phone and valuable documents.

An alarm was raised and the accused was arrested and sent to Buduburam police station.
