Nana Ama Mcbrown is not new to the silver screens and she doubles as a multiple award winning actress but taking over a job someone started in our movie industry is the first of its kind to us at Flex newspaper. If she has really done this before, then it is yet to come into the limelight.
When Vivian Achor started the television series Mama Taxi as the lead character, nobody thought she was ending it soon because she was delivering the job as the professional she has been over the years on the screens. Therefore when information came that she is “hanging her gloves” for another actress Nana Ama Mcbrown to take over, some followers of the series which runs on Viasat 1 thought there was something wrong somewhere.
Meanwhile the producer of the series Mr Martin Aboagye has told Flex newspaper that there is nothing wrong like a feud between the team and Vivienne Achor but the direction of the series is changing so there was also the need to change the lead actress. “Vivienne did a good job as the lead character and from February this year, Nana Ama Mcbrown is taking over as the new lead actress” he confirmed.
Mr Aboagye continued that the theme of empowering women in the series is also not going to stop as that has been the original agenda for the series. “Nana Ama is only coming up to continue from where Vivienne ended her job and with her experience as a director, we believe she is the best person to continue with that big task ahead” Martin Aboagye added.
Information has it that when the series resumes, it will still be on Viasat 1 and it will be shown on Sundays. Some other faces who will be featuring in the series include Dantei Mensah, Stella Lamek, Markus, Tina Ghansah and many more.
