Meet Demmie Vee, the new face of African music

Nigerian sensational recording artist and song writer Awotungase Ademola Sodiq aka Demmie Vee was born on the the 12 of April 1992 into the family of Mr & Mrs Awotungase. Demmie Vee is the second son to his mother and had his education in Model College lgbokuta Lagos / Comprehensive High School Ketu Lagos.

Demmie Vee was discovered by OWOMABO President of HND Records at a local car wash called Somys Place in Oregun Road Ikeja Lagos. His upbringing as a child is memory he wishes to share as a movie for all and sundry to know about. As a rough diamond, he had to go through the normal struggles in a country where by you have to live by your own rules to survive.

Education for the young rising star has never been easy but still saw the need to make it through. His nickname (Kalaputa pikin) which stands for Strong child was coined by a close friend who witnessed his struggles and how he overcame adversities in its brutal form.

Been signed to Hope Never Dies Records is a true testimony that indeed there is light after darkness.

"Musically am married to the craft with an expectation to see it through till death do us part. I derive my inspiration from my own experience which is very diverse due to the structures of my struggle. My message is clear and filled with hope for all music lovers out there in the world who can one way or the other relate to it. Am drawn to Asa's music and inspire by 2face with his rich content and the adversities he has overcome in the music industry," he said.

With the God given talent, topped up with writing music and recording his own sounds, it gives him the upper hand in controlling all the output of his craft which sets him differently from his peers all over the world.

His desire as a musician is not only about making his name in the music industry but using the opportunity to put an everlasting smile on the face of people. Common amenities such as running water and electricity is something in his dream for all and sundry to have access to.
