A wife invites her mother to help solve her marital problems. The mother-in-law begins to fall in love with her son-in-law. Would she become the new wife? 'My Wife-In-Law' is a three-cast play directed by Kobina Ansah under the auspices of Scribe Productions. The event is premiering on the 24th of September, 2016 at University of Ghana Legon.

Dennis Cobblah (Yoofi)
He responds to ‘Swallow’, a nickname he acquired in his high school days in Tema Secondary School, where he read General Science. He has had his basic education at Sky High Preparatory School with a dream to become an engineer. However he found himself reading Physics (specialization in Geophysics) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
While in TEMASCO he was discovered a budding seed in acting and landed himself major roles. Although he had been acting since childhood, his talent saw a significant rise after he won Most Promising Actor during a regional interschool drama competition in 2010.
Since then, he has electrified major stages in several gigs namely; Nii Commey’s ‘Where 2 or More Women Are Gathered’, ‘My Name Is Romance’ and many to mention but a few. Dennis appears to possess a good authority over the seemingly challenging roles that would otherwise be a hurdle for others. His mastery over the script and the stage is a thing much to be adored by all.
In a new TV Series dubbed ‘Game Over’ airing soon on GhOne TV, produced by Green Lemon, he is seen making impressive paces.
His contact with Scribe Production has been as old as the hills, starring in ‘This Family Is Not For Sale’. In this play ‘My Wife-In-Law’, Dennis Cobblah, herein known as ‘Yoofi’ is a frustrated young man, who having had an unstable life has to live from hand to mouth. As a result of being overly dependent on his wife he attracts undue pressure in his marriage.
Swallow enjoys swimming and watching movies during his leisure.
Asked to remark on what the audience should anticipate, he remarks, “I just want the audience to know that this play is a history in the making for me because for the first time in my acting career, I’m singing and dancing. This play is so hilarious that we can't finish a day's rehearsals without laughter”
Millicent Nana Aba Tetteh (Ms. Wellington)
Known in real life as Millicent Nana Aba Tetteh is the 25-year-old damsel playing the role of a mother named Ms. Wellington.
Before her high school education at Nsutaman Catholic Senior Secondary School, Kumasi she had had her basic education in Madina SDA and completed at Experimental Junior Secondary School in Accra.
Like the story has usually been for the average successful actress, Nana Aba’s scorching desire to break the grounds with her talent struck aggressively. She enrolled in Ghallywood Film Academy in 2011 to pursue this dream. That preceded her admission into Ghana Institute of Journalism to study read communications studies, majored in Public Relations and graduated in 2016.
Having graduated in 2016, she started working with the Human Resource of Ghana Community Network Services Limited (GCNet).
While in the Academy, she was featured in Summit Concept’s ‘Standard Life’ TV Series, which aired in 2012. This was followed by other performances entitled ‘In Daddy’s Closet’ and ‘P3’ in 2013 and 2014 respectively which were all staged at the National Theatre, Accra.
Millicent has an aura of strong, sarcasm and a hefty control of the craft around her game. It reflects in her role as she assumes the character of the loud-mouthed, psychopathic mother in law, Ms. Wellington, who forces a British accent in a way that is amusing and emphasizing of her personality.
Her hobbies are acting and traveling.
Perhaps as the torchbearer of this play, she is hopeful of an amazing show and comments, “I want you all to come see the surprise package Ms Welling-on has in stock for you. Our audience should expect nothing but value for their money because I have officially declared My Wife-In-Law as a political promise coming 2016 elections. We present to you; ‘One Wife, One In-Law’.
Jennie Adjomadi (Baaba)
Born to the god-fearing Mr. Francis Adjomadi and Mrs. Regina Adjomadi, Jennie is the second of five children. The 22 year old actress is currently a level 200 student of the University of Ghana studying Political Science and Theatre Arts.
What she does on stage today kicked off several years ago, at a tender age. From church to primary school, Solid Rock Foundation Schools through to St. Johns Grammar Senior High; acting had been a hobby. But as the President of the Drama Club, it was a compound of a talent nurture and leadership; complemented so well that it produced a more invigorated actress.
Jennifer made her debut appearance in 2007 in a movie and several other electrifying performances followed. Through to her feature in another play entitled ‘Come Naked for Dinner’ at the university of Ghana drama studio, she has been a thrill.
Her major breakthrough in acting was when she landed a pact with Kobina Ansah who hinted him of an audition further leading to a major debut feature on Nii Commeys' ‘Anticlockwise’ at the National Theatre. She has headlined several other several big shows to mention ‘Where 2 Or more Women Are Gathered, ‘Flagstaff House’, ‘This Family Is Not For Sale’ and several others. Plus she has found herself in countless short films and short comedy skits.
She has also gone into Scribe’s good books as having rocked the first and second seasons of ‘This Family Is Not For Sale’,
Her career has received recognitions with her first ‘Best Actress award at the High school Entertainment Awards in 2013.
In this piece, she fits into the shoes of an overly pugnacious wife. Her originally calm self and a well-composed demeanor may come with a new feel, a whole new experience. It comes as a hint in her words: “I am taking the audience through a whole new acting experience. We are giving you a good laugh whiles you learn a lot to better your marriage and relationships.
