Meeting Yvonne Chaka Chaka was fate – eShun

Prolific and rising songstress, eShun has disclosed that her encounter with music legend Yvonne Chaka Chaka was simply her destiny unfolding.

The budding singer, real name Ethel Maaame Esi Eshun was called out by Yvonne Chaka Chaka to perform with her on stage during the African Legends Night.

The 'meye' hitmaker revealed how her path crossed the African legend during a rehearsal after a technical failure which disallowed her from doing so several hours earlier.

Yvonne Chaka Chaka was thrilled by eShun's voice after she heard her rehearse some of the songs the young artiste was going to perform on the night of the concert.

The South African songbird who dazzled patrons with her performances on the night was full of praise for the young artiste and described her and AfroPop singer Becca as her daughters.

Yvonne Chaka Chaka tweeted on Monday describing eShun’s performance at the African Legends Night as ‘magical’. The event is organized annually to celebrate musical legends on the continent.

This year’s was no different as patrons were treated to spectacular performances from Akosua Adjepong, Nana Tuffuor, Amandzeba, Wiyaala, Becca and several others.
