After last Sunday's show, which saw the contestants performing African songs from Salif Keita, Rex Omar, Yousou Ndour, Nayanka Bell and Fela Anikulapo Kuti, some of the crowd rushed backstage to congratulate Dee for making it to the final.

Dada Dee looked very surprised and excited having made it among the final four as though he never anticipated it.

Dee's voice sounded good for his choice of song and his stagecraft was as lively as usual. Judge Mark Okraku-Mantey said his performance justified his inclusion in the show which was more important than the controversy surrounding his age.

Due to his relatively "huge" physique, beard and height, Dee has had to endure taunts from the general public who have nick-named him "Dada Dee" or "Papa Dee" claiming that he is older than the 23 years he professes.

Meanwhile, the competition is expected to get keener since all the contestant have proved they are capalble of winning the enviable crown.

With Sandy out, the stage is now set for an all-men's squad featuring Prince, Joe, Kofi and Dee to compete in the grand-finale which comes off in a fort-night to crown the next Mentor king after the previous winner, Prince Nana Tuffour.
